Hey there. Hopefully everyone is enjoying summer and surviving all the fire smoke! This summer we have been doing a lot of location portrait work for High School Seniors. Recently we had the pleasure of taking Bethanie’s Senior Portraits. We met her and her mom at the Women’s Affair this past March and have been looking forward to their portrait session ever since. Yesterday they made it back here for their preview and order session so now I can show you the portraits! I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
We look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Hello fellow Blog readers! The season is certainly upon us for High School Senior portraits. Since we no longer charge for location portraits we have been all over the interior and loving it! Over the next week or so as we get caught up there will be many new portraits here for you to view.
Don’t forget that over on the right side of this page you can subscribe to our blog and receive all the updates in your email! It only takes a few seconds to subscribe and confirm it.
For now, please enjoy the portraits of Kirsten!

Hello and Happy 4th of July Weekend! We hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend.
Liz was in the studio yesterday with her family and we captured some great portraits. It’s always great to see new faces but we have seen this family a few times now. We photographed Liz’s sister Sam in the recent past and we get to see their mom, Debbie, down at the Art Center frequently. We really appreciate the support and friendship!
Now, to get the weekend started let’s look at a few of our favorites from yesterday. You did an amazing job Liz – Thank You!

Hey there! Hopefully everyone is doing well and enjoying summer. Things here in the studio are warming up despite our recent cool & wet weather. Child portraits are still in full swing and the phone is ringing off the hook for High School Senior portraits. We love this time of year!
Now, on to the portraits! Below are a few of our recent favorites. Hope you enjoy.

….we have taken more photos of Kamryn! We had a few great ideas but she was having an ‘off’ day
No matter, we still captured some great portraits!
Every year our yard starts out as a field of dandelions. It only lasts for a few weeks so we let the grass (aka dandelions) get really long so we could use them for her portraits. In this process we learned a few things that we can’t wait to try next year. Enjoy the photos!

We also want to share a few recent (and favorite) newborn portraits. This session was fantastic and we captured so many moments that we just love. Hope you enjoy!

Hello everyone! I hope this finds you happy and doing well
Things around here are great and looking better than ever. Tanja and Kamryn finally (!) get back in town today. It’s been a long 3 weeks.
Last week I received a call from someone asking to see more maternity portraits here. Well, ask and you shall receive! I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely Mom-to-be the other day. Actually, as of 2 days ago, she is a Mom! Congratulations Lisa! We took these portraits just in time. Lisa is a sure natural in front of the camera and we took some amazing portraits. Here are just a few of many.
Thanks for looking and I look forward to your thoughts and comments!

Hey there. Just a quick post since I am on my way out the door. I wanted to share a few photos we took last night. Emily was in a great mood last night and her parents were working hard to keep her in one spot! It was fun, as always, and I hope you enjoy the portraits.

This past weekend we had the opportunity and pleasure to photograph the Fairbanks Lady Grizzlies for their new and upcoming calendar. What an awesome (and long!) day. The studio seemed to get really small with 15 or so women, bags and bags full of clothes, hair and makeup artists and one guy with a camera (me!). All the ladies were fantastic to photograph and the camera loved them. Of course, with everything happening so fast I didn’t get to spend much time with any one person but my experience with everyone was great.
I want to thank Ricky and Teresa Bertz and the Fairbanks Grizzlies for trusting me with such a responsibility. Most of all I want to thank the Fairbanks Lady Grizzlies for all their time, hard work and patience. I look forward to working with all of you again!
It’s hard to call these my favorites since we took so many amazing photos. We’ll call these my ‘initial’ favorites. Also, there was a bit of a ‘Pin up” theme to these. For now, enjoy the portraits and I look forward to any comments you may have

Hey fellow Blog readers! We’re back this week with more portraits to share. More friends, new stories and great photos. Hopefully everyone is making it through the last bit of winter ok. Tanja and I are really anxious to get outside this year. The recent warm temperatures have seriously given us spring fever. Yesterday my parents were talking about how it has been raining for 4 days (in North Carolina). While that seems like a bummer to them I can’t wait to smell rain and fresh cut grass! Not to mention filling the vegetable gardens and flower gardens. Fresh peas! Beets! Carrots and potatoes! Whew, ok, back to work
Enjoy the portraits and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon!
