More Friends and Favorites!

Hey fellow Blog readers! We’re back this week with more portraits to share. More friends, new stories and great photos. Hopefully everyone is making it through the last bit of winter ok. Tanja and I are really anxious to get outside this year. The recent warm temperatures have  seriously given us spring fever. Yesterday my parents were talking about how it has been raining for 4 days (in North Carolina). While that seems like a bummer to them I can’t wait to smell rain and fresh cut grass! Not to mention filling the vegetable gardens and flower gardens. Fresh peas! Beets! Carrots and potatoes! Whew, ok, back to work Enjoy the portraits and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

2009 Women’s Affair

We want to thank everyone for coming out to see us this past weekend at the Carlson Center. We really enjoy being at the Women’s Affair every year and getting to see so many people. This year we were able to show some brand new things. The ‘4 Ply Canvas Panel’ was a huge hit. Of course, we love it since they are portraits of Kamryn! Our new albums were also getting a lot of attention. Everyone must have enjoyed them because they are covered in finger prints!

I also received an amazing compliment yesterday. A man came up to me an introduced himself as someone who has a degree in fine arts. His definition of a great piece of art is something that catches your eye, draws you in and then rewards you while you take in all the details and aspects of the piece. I had a 30 inch canvas wrap of a baby on our wall. He said that piece gave him that reward. I replied with a very humble “Thank you very much”. Actually, I think I said that 3 or 4 times!

A few recent favorites

We definitely have our work cut out for us with the Women’s Affair this weekend. However, we wanted to share some more portraits with you. We have a little bit of everything for you this time…..Father & Son, Mother & Daughter, Couples, Kids and Pets. Needless to say we have been having a lot of fun around here!

Claire….

….is a photographer in her own right. She said she did her homework on choosing a photographer and decided on us. The pressure was on when we met her Her session was planned with outfits, props and a direction she wanted the portraits to go. We love moments like that! She also brought samples of her work that were both technically and creatively well done. I’m certain she’ll do well with her career. We look forward to seeing more of your work but for now…..here’s some of ours!  :)
