Congratulations Mike & Anna!

Last weekend we kicked off our wedding season and what a kick off it was! Beautiful weather, great locations and a fantastic couple! Tanja and I really enjoyed hanging out with the families. Mike and Anna could not be easier to get along with.

There is a full summer ahead of us so keep checking back. There will be frequent posts here. As always we encourage and look forward to all comments. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the photos!

Jeff & Carol

Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying our fantastic weather. I know Tanja, Kamryn and I are. Although spring time allergies have hit us a bit the past 2 weeks we have still been outside taking portraits. I wanted to share a few from a session a few days ago. Jeff is currently serving our country over seas and was home for a short time to see his family. During that time we had the pleasure of photographing Jeff and his wife Carol. I’m sure they both enjoyed his visit but he is already gone again. We wish you a speedy and safe return home Jeff!

Enjoy the photos and we look forward to any and all comments!

Mother’s Day

Last weekend was another “first” for us. Of course, it was Mother’s Day! Now that Tanja is a Mom she has another reason to be pampered (and, so, she was!). We woke up Sunday morning and Tanja found a card from Kamryn. Apparently while we were sleeping Kamryn took the car, went to the store and got Mom a card. Once she got back home she found some crayons and wrote all kinds of nice stuff. One thing she did was promise to cook Mom breakfast but since she was too short to reach the stove she said Dad would cook for her! Naturally I thanked her….then cooked breakfast :)

We made our way to Creamer’s Field for a nice long walk. The place was packed and we ran into a lot of people we know. It was fun and nice to be outside. All in all it was a quiet, relaxing and enjoyable day. We just so happened to have a camera with us and took tons of photos. Below are a few of my favorites from the afternoon. We hope you enjoy them!

Meet Chad

Hello again! I wanted to share a few of my favorite images from a portrait session yesterday. Chad was fantastic to work with. Easy going, fun, didn’t mind the camera and an all around good guy. Thanks Chad – We hope to see you here again soon!

Enjoy the photos

Jeremy and Malissa

The day before this portrait session I called to ask Malissa if she wanted to do her engagement portraits at a location instead of the studio. The weather this spring has been really weird so we had no idea what to expect for the following day. She said, “Let’s go to Skiland!”. I said, “sounds great – There’s tons of stuff around there for portraits”. We met there the following evening. Feet of snow on the ground and inches of mud where the snow had melted. Ok, we can deal with that. When we moved over to the cliff/ledge where we started it felt like hurricane winds whipping past! Of course with the temperatures it would have been an arctic hurricane but you get the idea :) I was using an off camera light on a lightstand and weighted with sandbags. Within the first 10 shots it was blown over and broken. No big deal. I love natural light anyway! It sounds like a rough day huh? Well, it wasn’t. We actually had a good time. Laughing and joking around. Jeremy and Malissa are obviously in love and they made it easy to capture their emotion. I can’t wait for the wedding! Enjoy the photos and I look forward to your comments!
